Why can't I install the Order Legend app?

Trying to install our app but the install button is disabled or you're seeing a message like "App is not supported in your shopify store"?

Key Requirements for Installing the App:

  1. Registered Business Address:
    Your Shopify store's registered business address must be in one of these 21 supported countries:
    Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom.

  2. Default Currency:
    The store's default currency must be either GBP, EUR, CHF, CZK, DKK, HUF, PLN, RON or SEK.

  3. Default Market & Shipping:
    Your store's default market must be one of the supported countries listed above and you must ship to this country.

Why Are These Criteria Necessary?

The main reason for these restrictions lies in Order Legend's role as a Google Comparison Shopping Service (CSS) provider. The Google CSS program operates under specific rules that vary by country. You can read more about the Google CSS program and its requirements here.

Additional Details:

  • Limited Merchant Center Support in Other Countries:
    Outside of the supported CSS regions, Google only allows one Merchant Center per store. This limitation prevents Order Legend from creating and managing dedicated accounts under our umbrella Master CSS account, as we currently do in supported regions.

    While we aim to expand support globally, doing so will require a completely different onboarding and app infrastructure to accommodate existing Merchant Centers rather than creating new ones.

  • Attempts to Circumvent Requirements Won't Work:
    Modifying your store's default market or default currency temporarily to install the app and reverting the changes afterward will cause issues. These settings are crucial for Order Legend to sync accurate data with the Merchant Center we create. If such changes are made, the app status will become stuck, and you won't be able to proceed.

Planned Future Expansion:

We understand the limitations and are working towards expanding Order Legend's availability to more regions. However, this will involve reworking how the app integrates with stores and existing Merchant Centers, requiring time and development.
